Introducing BricsCAD V18 OS X BricsCAD V18 represents the future of the.dwg format, and now it’s available for the Mac. V18 OS X offers workflows for general design, mechanical design and BIM. We’ve made all of these workflows are available in one product, based on.dwg – the industry standard file format. In V18, we’re extending the.dwg format with the first fundamental change in.dwg technology in 35 years. Our repository-based design enables blazingly fast drawing compares with a really unique visual merge feature.
Save minutes per hour with V18’s simplified user interface – including the new Manipulator Widget, and a greatly enhanced Quad cursor. In V18 OS X, you can access your drawing metadata quickly with the improved Drawing Explorer and the new Content Browser, Layout Manager and Structure Panel.
The best BIM workflow just got better in V18 OS X BricsCAD BIM puts the focus on creativity, and lets you move to BIM on your schedule. Make your design decisions and let your computer do the tedious work for you. Using advanced machine intelligence, BricsCAD BIM simplifies the process of creating your Building Information Model. BricsCAD BIM will automatically classify BIM objects, including their spatial locations.
Each room knows where it is located in a building, and knows its 3D boundaries. In V18, the automatic classifier recognizes linear solids as beams, pipes, ducts and more. We’re laying the groundwork for structural and building mechanical applications in the near future. You can create fully parametric windows from any closed contour. The parametric arrays in V18 give you great flexibility in creating staircases and curtain walls. And the greatly improved IFC import capabilities and data extraction tools bring together the entire BIM workflow.
There’s a lot more to BricsCAD V18 OS X! You can try BricsCAD, BricsCAD BIM, BricsCAD Sheet Metal and Communicator for free for 30 days at The English version of BricsCAD V18 for OS X is available today. Other languages will be available in the coming weeks. And one more thing Now that BricsCAD V18 OS X is available, you need to know that the Mac version of BricsCAD Shape isn’t far behind. Stay tuned on the for more information about Shape OS X!
BricsCAD V16 for Mac is now available and enhances architectural BIM design, 3D modeling, and usability, all on the Macintosh platform. Gent, Belgium: November 17, 2015 - Bricsys is pleased to announce BricsCAD V16 for Mac is being released today. The innovative CAD system powers 2D drafting, 3D modeling, sheet metal design, and BIM architecture - all on the world standard.dwg file format. New 2D and 3D Functions in V16 BricsCAD V16 significantly expands the function of the unique Quad cursor so that it also draws objects, in addition to editing them. The Quad is easily customized in V16. Users make better drawings through the new dynamically associative array function that creates and edits linear, rectangular, polar, 3D array, and arrays along paths.
Bricscad Is Now Available For Mac Free
As well, transparency can be applied to objects, layers, and plotted out. Text is enhanced multi-column paragraphs and automatic stacking of fractions. Now map tiles can be placed from online cartographic services, and drawings can be located accurately using geographic coordinates. BricsCAD V16 expands 3D object creation to 3D surfaces, which can be edited just like 3D solids, including those imported from other CAD programs. The new release imports and heals assemblies from MCAD programs like Solidworks and Inventor; in addition, it imports 3D models from the popular SketchUp conceptual modeling tool, and BIM data from IFC files.
BricsCAD BIM BricsCAD BIM (building information model) for architectural design synchronizes 3D models with 2D sections, plans, and details, and reads and writes IFC files from other BIM systems. All building materials and compositions in the BIM database are accessible through the dockable BIM panel. BricsCAD creates room objects in V16 that are bounded by wall objects. Choose windows and doors from the library, or else create your own by setting parameters in the Properties panel. The redesigned drawing generation feature lets users generate 2D drawings, details, sections, and sheet sets in seconds from 3D, BIM, and sheet metal models using styles. BricsCAD Sheet Metal In BricsCAD V16, the sheet metal functions become an optional add-on. New functions in V16 include automatic feature coloring, lofted bends, and additional junction and relief shapes.
The all-new batch processing facilities allows users to quickly produce families of sheet metal parts of different sizes. Support for CAM systems is extended to CYBELEC and DELEM. Pricing and Availability The English version of BricsCAD V16 for Mac is available today. Additional languages will be released in the weeks to come. The free download provides a 30-day trial of all functions of the Platinum edition.
With BricsCAD you get more for less. Pricing of BricsCAD V16 starts at just €410/$520 for the Classic edition. Other editions and additional solutions offer Sheet Metal design, BIM planning, and 3D data exchange - all based on the.dwg format.
